Generally, the production of non-general worsted/carded system possessed special appearance yarns can be summed up as fancy yarn. Compare with general 100% single material yarns, fancy has had more flexible composition structures. By using the different dyeing characteristic of these materials, fancy yarn has broader colour effect on swatch performance. 
If we clarified and categorized, all fancy yarn structure has a combination of base yarn, binder, and effect yarn.
Different kinds of structures can be derived extended series of yarn type, such as tweed yarn, loop yarn, slub yarn, knot yarn, feather yarn, and brush yarn. If broad its classification, then tape yarn, air yarn and feather yarn …etc. could all be included as fancy yarn family.

Generally, fibers are colored at producing procedure, which could be called “top dye”. The colored fiber will be through into the machines to increase the spinnability. Compared with hank dye, there will not have much limit in dying process. Each color separately dyed and then mixed when carding. We could see this as “oil painting”. The color combination featured its special color combo. And we also develop some hank dye products to feature its special characteristic.
And for “Hank dye”, you could simply understand as finished raw hanks directly be dyed by hanks, and will be limited by its material combinations.
Therefore, we could prepare the greige yarn in stock to DTM for clients on “Hank dye” products with short lead-time. However, for Topdye products, if we need to achieve DTM process, the lead-time will take longer time as we have to prepare the whole process from very beginning.

Fancy yarn has its own characteristics for uneven and crimp effect which is differ from flat yarn. Please follow the gauge suggestion and choose the right gauge when knitting. Otherwise we don't guarantee it will have the same quality for different knitting conditions. Please confirm and adjust the suitable tension, speed for structure knits on automatic machines when sampling.
